The Fabric of Society is a shop like no other.  Established in July 2006 as Femme de Brocante,  when its founders identified a gap in the market for affordable, designer fabrics for the home.  A name change to The Fabric of Society in 2018 marked a new chapter, with the same commitment to timeless style, ever-evolving creativity, and an eye for the extraordinary.

After many years in Rangiora, we are thrilled to now call Sydenham, Christchurch home. A vibrant, design-forward neighbourhood that perfectly matches our aesthetic.

Emily (one of the founding owners), and her experienced staff are always on hand to offer advice and assist you. They all have a passion for interior design and all things gorgeous.  Whether it’s fabric for a cushion or for the whole house, they are there to help you every step of the way.
